Managing Director, Exploration for Africa, Europe and Asia, Rio Tinto

Kevin Fox graduated with a B.A. Hons Geology, from Trinity College, Dublin in 1982 and from Imperial College London in 1989 with an MSc/DlC in Mineral Production Management. He worked in Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe in Mining and Exploration Geology roles, focussed on Base metals, Uranium, Coal and Diamonds, until 2000. He moved to Brazil as Exploration Manager for Rio Tinto in 2000 where exploration was focussed on Diamonds, Iron Ore and Bauxite and to Argentina in 2004 as General Manager of the Potasio Rio Colorado, Potash project. In late 2009 he assumed the role of Exploration Director – Africa Eurasia for Rio Tinto and is currently based in London.
